Explore Meigs County with New Brochure

Partner Spotlight: New Meigs County, TN Visitor Brochure

Meigs County Chamber of Commerce launched a new visitor brochure to inspire travel and highlight historic places, water recreation resources, marines, lodging and restaurants. Many sites in Meigs County are on the National Register of Historic Places. Additionally, the historic route of the Trail of Tears between the Hiwassee River Heritage Center in Charleston and the Cherokee Removal Memorial at Blythe Ferry is highlighted. It’s an authentic experience for visitors to learn about the time period in American History.

The brochure was created with CARES Act tourism funds distributed by TDTD through Meigs County, the Decatur-Meigs County Chamber of Commerce and the Southeast TN Tourism Association, with assistance from Paulette Jones at the Meigs County Historical Museum. Dave McCain of McCain Designs designed the brochure and Sean Fisher of @southernexplorersclub contributed most of the photography.

To obtain physical copies of the brochure, contact Tonya Irwin at tirwin@vec.organd and Kristy Kelly-Sewell at kkelly@vec.org at the Decatur-Meigs County Chamber.
