The Tennessee Secondary Schools Athletic Association (TSSAA) announced on Thursday that Chattanooga will be the host community for the 2021 and 2022 Girls State Soccer Tournament.

The first set will take place this fall.

TSSAA says Chattanooga Sports, a division of Chattanooga Tourism Co., will work with its community partners to provide "an exceptional tournament experience and welcome 32 teams to the Scenic City."

TSSAA says the event will bring hundreds of athletes from across Tennessee to Chattanooga for multiple days of matches across five classifications leading up to the final championship.

The last time Chattanooga hosted the tournament was in 2012.
