An essential part of Chattanooga’s creative capital, 4 Bridges Arts Festival (4BAF) will return April 20-21, 2024. The 4 Bridges Arts Festival has cultivated and inspired an appreciation for the visual arts by bringing in artists from around the country to interact with our local community and display and sell their work. The highly-anticipated 4BAF is a juried art show that attracts visual artists from across the country, and has been ranked in the top 30 fine art festivals in country. The festival showcases the distinctive talents of 145 artists and offer $20,000+ in cash awards.

Each year 4 Bridges Arts Festival debuts with the highly popular annual Preview Party, Friday April 19, 6-10PM . A ticketed social event, the Preview Party is a celebration that opens festival weekend and features select wines, signature cocktails, and gourmet hors d’oeuvres. Tickets available through participating sponsors, patron program, or by purchasing an event ticket.

2024 Artist Exhibitors
First Horizon Emerging Artist Program
First Horizon, a champion of innovative ideas and the entrepreneurial spirit, is supporting emerging artists as a 2024 sponsor of 4 Bridges Arts Festival. The Emerging Artist Program is designed to nurture and advance the careers of local talent, by providing exhibition space to individuals who have limited experience showing their work at art festival or in galleries. This program supports the burgeoning careers of emerging artists by introducing the community to dynamic, new creative perspectives. Artists accepted into the program will receive:
Festival preparation guidance and mentoring from Sarah Moore, AVA's Director of Festivals
Mentoring from another local artist with extensive experience showing and selling at major festivals
A free standard booth space at 4BAF
Access to AVA's portable screens for hanging work, and other booth materials
Extensive marketing related to the program
The application is free, and you do not need to be an AVA member to participate. All Emerging Artists must be at least 18 years old and must live in Chattanooga or within a 45-mile radius. They must not have prior solo gallery show experience, or prior experience showing at a major art festival (participation in AVA's Between The Bridges show is fine!).

VOLUNTEER AT 4BAF
Volunteers make all the difference!
We can’t put on 4BAF without dedicated volunteers. We need folks during the whole event to greet guests, hand out brochures, help at our ticket booth, keep the site clean, take care of the artists, and more. Would you like to help? Check out our volunteer sign-up form by clicking the button below. Each volunteer shift typically lasts 4 hours.

DON’T MISS our 2024 Children’s Artist in Residence, Andrea Zoppo!
Andrea and some of her performer friends will be with us all weekend in various places. If you’re coming to our Preview Party on Friday night, you’ll get to see some delightful giant puppets interacting with our festive crowd. On Saturday morning at 10am, bring your kids for a fun 30-minute performance at our stage in front of the Pavilion - Andrea and her crew will perform her original production “Weather The Weather” - a playful, surreal production about all the ways weather can make us feel.
And Saturday and Sunday from 1-5, Andrea will be face-painting inside the pavilion for kids and adults!
