Covid-19 Exposures & Action Steps

In all 4 of these situations, Ruby Falls and the Tennessee Aquarium were following, and going above and beyond, to adhere to all health & safety protocols by the CDC and TN Pledge. Because of that, exposure was minimized in all four situations and did not spread to any other employees.

  • Reviewed the security camera footage to see how many people they were in close contact with
  • Contacted the Health Department
  • Had the team member on that tour get tested – it came back negative
  • Added to guest questionnaire: Are you, or anyone in your household, waiting on a Covid-19 test result?

Tennessee Aquarium – (1) Contractor working on security base (area where employees must pass through) had Covid-19, (2) Symptomatic guest without a mask on July 4th, and (3) Employee had a positive Covid-19 family member.

  • Quickly defined close contact
  • Did internal contact tracing – connected with all employee working around each of these situations
  • Contacted the Health Department
  • Employees were tested; all tests came back negative
